Most devices are completely dry and ready to use in under 30 minutes. The exact time depends on the level of water exposure and device type.
Redux has an 83% recovery rate for devices that remained unplugged after water exposure. Success rates are highest when treatment begins quickly and the device hasn't been charged while wet.
Rice is actually one of the least effective drying methods. It can leave behind starch dust and debris that damages ports and speakers. More importantly, it doesn't remove moisture from inside the device fast enough to prevent corrosion.
