Treatment time varies based on moisture levels and device size. Redux typically takes 3-6 hours for normal amounts of moisture. Devices with minimal everyday moisture may dry faster, while heavily submerged devices (like dropped in a pool) will take longer. The larger the device and the more moisture exposure, the longer the drying time needed.

Redux has an 83% recovery rate for devices that remained unplugged after water exposure. Rice is actually one of the least effective drying methods, with studies showing less than 10% effectiveness. It can leave behind starch dust and debris that damages ports and speakers.
