from 57 reviewsThe Home Redux does dry my hearing aids because I notice the words sound a little clearer which is helpful for me. It does take a while sometimes up to 2 hours. I love the app which shows me how moisture was removed and recommended the frequency of using this device.
Amazing! It is easy to put a hearing aid device in the dryer. It is unbelievable that the moisture on the hearing aid device was removed 100%. It was better than a humidifier in a glass container. I'm satisfied. I can hear anything very well.
Does a fantastic job at drying out my in the ear Oticon hearing aids.
Only negative is the flashing blue light as it prepares for the next drying cycle - at night the blue light is annoying so I block it to minimize.
My redux came in 2 days very impressed! Works great but takes a very long time to dry. I do wear full shell hearing aid mold’s so I’m sure that contributes to that! Great product!
The 3-year warranty had recently expired on my rechargeable hearing aids so that I would no longer receive the free semi-annual maintenance visits with my audiologist. I stumbled upon a Hearing Matters podcast about the Redux Home and thought this might be a good way to maximize the remaining life of my hearing devices. Prior to purchasing the Redux Home, I was having really annoying feedback from one of the hearing aids (a near-constant soft whistling) that would not go away no matter what I did. I had no idea that this might be related to moisture. I was using a desiccant capsule in my hearing aid charger, but the color of a newly replaced capsule would change completely to white in a matter of days. After the first night in the Redux machine the feedback completely disappeared. I have now used the Redux machine once a week for 3 consecutive weeks. All 3 times the drying cycle has taken the full 6 hours to complete. I do not have a smart phone, so am unable to use the app to determine how much liquid is being removed, but I assume it must be a lot. The hearing aids always feel squeaky clean and bone dry upon completion.
As a 10+ year hearing aid wearer I’ve learned that moisture is the enemy of hearing aids. After finding out about the Redux Home Dryer from my hearing aid provider I knew I had to try it. Without a doubt this is the best hearing aid dryer I’ve ever owned.
Rescued a hearing aid that was static despite using Lux Drier.
I plan to use a Lux drier daily and the Redux home weekly.
I purchased it from Redux on Amazon.
It now includes Bluetooth which is awesome for us tech nerds!
I got a home unit, but with my behind the ear aids this Unit is definitely a professional model with the cost of hearing aids. I would suggest investing in one.
Been using this device and it removes water from the hearing aids. I am able to print out the results by printing the screenshot.
The dryer performs very well for my rechargeable and battery hearing aids. Have not had it for the summer months when I really sweat especially when doing work outside in the heat.
It truly is a remarkable unit to dry hearing aids. We actually ran it through the test with multiple wet hearing aids over a 5 min to 15 minute period under water and the ReDux dred them perfectly. Amazing product. We thought the cost was high but once we saw how useful it is it made for an easy decision. We purchased one for each of our practice locations.
I really like this dryer, I would like to have a taller cap as an option. I use this to dry two Oticon Exceed UP aids and full size ear molds. The standard cap seems to contact the aid and ear mold on top, but I can’t really see if it does. Could they make a clear top so we could see our aids?
I alternate between the Redux and an old dryer with UV and desiccant cartridges as I have two years of desiccant to use up. Together they keep my aids in top top shape.
